Chemical Logistics Sustainability and Security Assessment

Assessment of the quality, safety, security and environmental performance of logistics service providers and distributors of chemical products
Logistics or distribution companies wishing to be assessed should review the questionnaires and guidance. The CLSSA assessment questionnaires consist of a Core Module, which is applicable to any logistics service provider, and a Special Module, which is relevant to the specific activities of the company being assessed.
Transport companies and logistics service providers can undergo assessments in the following modules:

Minimum set of requirements to ensure safe transportation of goods by road transport

СLSSA Tank cleaning
Minimum set of requirements to ensure high quality cleaning of tanks, road tanks, tank containers, silos for transportation of bulk cargo and other transport equipment
СLSSA Warehouse
Minimum set of requirements for ensuring safe conditions for storage and handling of goods

Process
Submitting an application

  • Completing the PAD
  • Send to the CLSSA Manager
  • Setting the audit date and scope
  • Appointing the independent assessor
Assessment

  • On-site audit of the Applicant (logistics service provider or chemical distributor)
  • Preparation of a report with the results of the assessment of compliance with the CLSSA requirements
Approval of the report

  • Approval of the report with the Applicant (logistics provider or chemical distributor)
  • Approval of the report by the CLSSA Manager and publication in a secure database.
Improvement period

  • Using assessment results to improve the quality and safety of operations of a logistics service provider or chemical distributor.
  • Preparing for a reassessment.
Pre-Assessment Document (PAD)
Determine the scope of the valuation and provide the independent assessor with relevant information to prepare the valuation. The PAD contains basic information about the company: the activities to be assessed, the number and type of employees, the number and type of subcontractors, etc.
An independent assessor must verify the information provided by the company. To calculate the assessment time, it is necessary to fill out a PAD for each object to be evaluated.
